1. What We Collect

When you use GiftLoop, we collect:

• Account information: your email address and password (stored securely via Firebase Auth).
• Recipient information: the name, shipping address, and phone number of your gift recipient (phone number is collected solely for shipping carrier use).
• Photos: images you upload to generate personalized gifts.
• Payment information: processed and stored by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, and device/browser information, collected automatically.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To fulfill your subscription — create gifts, print, and ship to your recipient.
• To send transactional emails: order confirmations, shipping notifications, and reminder emails.
• To manage your account and subscription billing.
• To improve our service and troubleshoot issues.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Your Photos

Photos you upload are used exclusively to produce your gifts. They are stored securely in Firebase Storage and shared only with our print partner (Printify) for fulfillment. We do not use your photos in marketing, advertising, or any other purpose. Photos may be deleted from our servers 90 days after your subscription ends.

4. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with the third-party services necessary to operate GiftLoop:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and file storage
• Printify — gift production and shipping
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Each of these partners has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active.
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us.
• Some data may be retained for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., billing records).

6. Cookies

We use session cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and remember your signup progress. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us at sendgiftloop@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

GiftLoop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you by email before any material changes take effect.
